A warm welcome to The Way of the Knots online space
~ Crystal energies intertwined with knot magic ~
The Way of the Knots was born through my desire to create something with my hands. I have never seen micro-macrame (as it's officially called) jewellery before and I simply googled something along the lines of "what can I make at home to create a product".
There was a link to one of those articles with "10 things" and one of them was micro-macrame. And love at first sight was born!
I went straight to reading what I needed to start making this beautiful knotted jewellery, researching different threads, and other tools, I wanted to know everything.
Getting some basic threads and tools, I started watching videos and attempted my first tiara. And that was it! The love at first sight has been evolving into a proper settled down love affair and I often visualise different designs in the liminal space of falling asleep.
More than a year after I first read about micro-macrame I now have my online shop and love knotting in a sacred space that I create whilst listening to music (mainly from the pagan or Goddess genre). I would often chant as well "every knot I make is a sacred knot, every knot I make is a healing knot", which is my own version of a chant "Every step I make is a sacred step".
What comes handy during my knotting time is patience! I am really grateful that my journey so far has taught me a lot of patience as sometimes 2 hours of work need to be unknotted in 5 minutes to correct one wrong knot. Patience and an eye for detail!
Once The Way of the Knots amulet is finished, I place it on my altar, to be infused by the sacred energy and before the amulet is safely packed, I perform a blessing ritual to bless it with the energies of the elements - Air, Fire, Water, Earth and Spirit, sprinkled with a bit of magic and ask for the Goddess to bring the grace to the amulet's new guardian.
